Terms of Use

The agreement between you and us, in plain English.

Last updated: 3 September 2026

Accepting these terms

These terms are the agreement between you and Piksel Sekyuriti EOOD, Sofia, Bulgaria ("we", "us"), the company that publishes ElderGuard Link. By downloading or using the app — on iPhone, Apple Watch or Apple TV — you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the app.

If you set the app up on behalf of a relative, you confirm that they know it is running and agree to it. ElderGuard Link is designed to be used openly, with the consent of the person being looked after.

Your licence to use the app

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use ElderGuard Link on Apple devices you own or control, for your own and your family's use. That licence is all you get: we keep every other right in the app.

You may not copy, sell, rent, sub-licence or redistribute the app, reverse engineer or decompile it, remove or obscure its notices, or attempt to defeat any technical restriction in it — except where the law explicitly says you may do so regardless of this agreement.

Purchases

ElderGuard Link is currently offered as a free download, with no in-app purchases and no subscription. If we introduce paid features in a future version, the following applies to them.

Not medical advice, not an emergency service

ElderGuard Link is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and nothing it shows you is medical advice. Do not use it to make a clinical decision, and do not delay seeking care because of something the app did or did not say.

It is also not an emergency service and is not monitored by anyone. It cannot guarantee that a fall will be detected, that a change in readings will be noticed, or that an alert will reach you — a watch can be off, uncharged, out of range, or simply wrong, and notifications can be delayed or lost. If someone needs help, call your local emergency number. Do not rely on this app as the only way anyone would know.

Acceptable use

Use ElderGuard Link lawfully and honestly. In particular, do not use it to monitor someone who has not agreed to it, do not use it to harass or control anyone, and do not interfere with the app, with Apple's services, or with other people's data. You are responsible for the accounts and devices you use it on.

Availability

The app depends on your devices, on Apple Health, on iCloud and on Apple's notification delivery, none of which we control. We may change, suspend or discontinue the app or any of its features, and we may stop supporting older versions of iOS, watchOS or tvOS. We will try to give reasonable notice of changes that matter, but we do not promise that the app will always be available or uninterrupted.

Disclaimer of warranties

ElderGuard Link is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind about it, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted or error-free operation. Readings, baselines, summaries and alerts can be incomplete, delayed or wrong.

Nothing here removes rights you have as a consumer under Bulgarian or EU law that cannot be excluded by agreement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, for lost data, or for any harm arising from a fall, a health event, a missed or late alert, or any decision made or not made on the basis of the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim — which, while the app is free, is zero.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app changes. The current version always lives at this address, with the date it took effect at the top. If a change is significant, we will say so in the app or on this site. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Bulgaria, and disputes will be dealt with by the competent Bulgarian courts. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your own country.
